Statement of Purpose:
Deaf Centre Manitoba Inc (DCM) is a non-profit charitable organization which recognizes the value of Deaf Culture and American Sign Language. The purpose of the organization is to coordinate and/or provide resources, programs & advocacy that enhance the development of the Deaf Community.
Deaf Resource Centre (DRC) is operated by Deaf Centre Manitoba Inc. Deaf Resource Centre is an information clearinghouse. It performs a number of Dissemination Manitoba. It responds to inquire about a diverse range of topics related to Deaf, Deaf-Blind, and Hard of hearing persons including cultural, medical, Educational, and Family information.
It includes resources and an annotated library (DRC Library) which would help the Deaf, Deaf-blind, Hard of Hearing and other Manitobans to access important, accurate information, material pertaining to deafness and Deaf Culture. As well as ensuring healthy communication, interaction with hearing family members, co-workers, employers and friends. Deaf Resource Centre has been partners with other service agencies to provide the appropriate service to the Deaf Community or to enhance the accessibility of services to the Deaf Community.

Community Connections
Community Connections facilitates Internet access to Deaf Community and other Manitobans. We have over 100 members. There are 4 public computers that Deaf/hearing community use.
Hours:
Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays: 9 a.m. - noon & 1 p.m. - 4 p.m.
Tuesdays - 1:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
Holiday hours:
The Deaf Resource Centre will be closed December 22, 2008 - January 2, 2009. The DRC will re-open at 9 a.m. Monday, January 5, 2008.
